Dubai Opera has just announced a tribute concert to one of the greatest singers from the Arab world, Umm Kulthum, also known as " Kawkab Al Sharq” or “Star of the Orient” had mesmerized audiences for over 50 years with her unparalleled voice and raw emotional power and her legacy continues to have a great influence to this day.
The concert will be held on February 16th, celebrating the life of legendary Egyptian icon and will performed by Tunisian singer songwriter, Ghalia Benali, the show will take audiences on a captivating musical journey with beloved timeless classics such as “Al Atlal”, “Alf Leila w Leila” and more.
Singer songwriter Ghalia Benali started her artistic career in 1992, blending different types of music, connecting different cultures; reviving the old and rooting the new are a natural outcome of mixing the two extremes she lived through.
