Cinema Akil Will Kickstart 2019 With These Awesome Films

Dubai's independent film platform 'Cinema Akil' will kickstart 2019 with an excellent selection of films screened from its newly opened cinema in Alserkal Avenue. 

The list of films include RBG, a critically-acclaimed feature documentary based on one of the most indispensable figures in history, dubbed the “Notorious R.B.G.”.

Followed by the 2018 SXSW Grand Jury Prize Winner THUNDER ROAD. Directed by Jim Cummings, this comedic drama was inspired by the song “The Ballad of Thunder Road” by Robert Mitchum and features a raw performance by Cummings himself.

Cinema Akil will also release the twentieth episode of Japanese anime series - DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY (Doragon bôru chô: Burorî ) and the captivating documentary GOD CHILDREN directed by Dubai-based filmmaker Reshel Shah, 

The Reel Palestine is also back at Cinema Akil and will kick off with its biggest programme to date, bringing you more than two screenings per day, talks, a vibrant market of Palestinian crafts and flavour and some more surprises.

DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY (Doragon bôru chô: Burorî )
