Rove Hotels is partnering with Nikon, one of the world’s foremost optics and imaging experts, once again for the latest installment of Rove Around Tours. Taking place on February 1st and 2nd, from 2PM to 6PM, the photo-walk tours will be led by esteemed Emirati photographer and local heritage expert Dr. Ahmad Al Rais, who will meet each tour group at Rove Healthcare City before hopping on board the Rove bus to discover Dubai’s uncommon yet fascinating heritage hotspots. The tours will take in locations such as Al Bastakiya, Dubai Creek and Bur Dubai Souq – sites steeped in storied histories and traditions. Additionally, attendees will have a chance to photograph and learn more about the art of falconry at Wild Flight.

Each group will be made up of a maximum of 20 participants and, after being gifted SD cards, members will be able to borrow Nikon cameras to document the tours and create their own photo journals. Any participant who posts his/her photos on social media, accompanied by #RoveWithNikon or #NikonSocial, will be entered into a competition, with the best image winning a 1 DX camera Nikon D3500 – Nikon’s “social-media ready” camera. The theme of Heritage will enable tour members to discover the hidden traditional treasures of Dubai, along with their uniquely picturesque allure.

Discussing the latest series of Rove Around Tours powered by Nikon, Paul Bridger, Corporate Director of Operations at Rove Hotels, said, “Following the extremely positive response to the Rove Around Tours launch back in November, everyone here at Rove is delighted to be collaborating with Nikon once again. While Dubai is celebrated as a global hub for modernity and innovation, there is also rich heritage to this emirate and unique beauty that lies in its traditional aspects. Capturing the hidden essence of Dubai’s heritage through photography is truly exciting. We are really looking forward to the upcoming tour.”

Blossom Furtado, Brand Manager of Nikon Middle East and Africa, added, “Creativity and curiosity are key elements of the Nikon philosophy and thanks to our partnership with Rove Hotels, we can provide the perfect platform to encourage budding photographers with a genuine desire to discover more about Dubai and express themselves through the powerful art of photography. After the massive success of the first Rove Around Tours, we have been overwhelmed with DMs, and Insta-requests for more information about the next installment – a real sign of the growing movement of online creators searching for worthwhile creative outlets in this city. Together with Rove Hotels and Dr Ahmad Al Rais, we can’t wait to empower these people to explore and capture the magic of Dubai’s hidden heritage hotspots, no matter how far along they are on their creative journeys.”
