Warehouse421 is hitting the ground running in 2019 with a fresh program of workshops, film screenings and book reading all held at its space in Abu Dhabi.
The Architecture of Loneliness exhibition, co-curated with Gulf Photo Plus, continues throughout the month. Artist and architectural photographer, Mohamed Somji, whose work is featured in the exhibition, will also lead a photography workshop that will see participants venture out into the Mina Zayed district with their cameras.
This month’s series of hands-on workshops cover a range of creative disciplines, including ‘zine-making,’ paper-making, upcycling and material casting, with a number of sessions taking place in Masdar City, as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. A three-day Arabic calligraphy course will also be the first of a number of 'short courses' at Warehouse421 in 2019.
In collaboration with Early Starters, a new series named “Khayal” which will bring children’s books to life through readings and fun activities.
Finally, the “Herstory: Film & The Arab Woman” series, being hosted in collaboration with Cinema Akil and featuring contemporary films by or about Arab women, will continue its run at Warehouse421 until April 2019.

Naila and the uprising (2017)
