Abu Dhabi's creative hub Warehouse421 will run two great exhibitions this month, the 100/100: Hundred Best Arabic Posters exhibition and the soon to be opened 'Architecture of Loneliness', co-curated with Gulf Photo Plus [GPP].
Architecture of Loneliness,is the first exhibition directly commissioned by Warehouse421, it will be open to the public from 15 December 2018 to 17 February 2019, showcasing photographs of abandoned and uninhabited spaces in the UAE that were once alive with social and economic activity.
This weekend the venue will also open its doors to an interactive public program with immersive creative workshops that include a 5-day painting course, and the return of the popular photography workshop delivered in partnership with GPP.

Warehouse421 X GPP: Introduction To Photography
December 7-8 (Friday & Saturday)
11:00 – 16:00
In this two-day workshop, participants will break free of Auto mode and gain a solid understanding of the essential elements in achieving a perfect exposure: ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. They will also explore the creative side of photography with a focus on the traditional rules of composition, as well as how to break them. By the end of the workshop, each participant will be able to confidently craft and shoot photos in semi-manual modes.

Observational Painting Workshop
December 7-11 (Friday-Tuesday)
18:00 – 20:30
This intensive five-day workshop challenges participants to explore and experiment with the essential art of observation. Beginning with still life drawing in charcoal on day one, participants will then move on to still life drawing with pen on day two, before producing three separate paintings of their own in acrylic and oil over the final three days, including a medium or large-sized, full color final work.

Helping Others Inventions Happen When Someone Needs Help With Something!
December 8 (Saturday)
14:00 – 15:30
Children aged 6-12 years will be given a ‘Character Profiler’ worksheet, which will help them form a picture in their mind of a character and what that character might find challenging. They will be asked to think of a person (or a thing) they would like to help and draw or write down information about them, such as who they are, where they live, what they like or dislike. They will then think about an invention that their character would need or like, and how this invention could change their life.
