The fourth edition of Dubai Design Week will return to Dubai Design District (D3) from 12-17 November. The event is free to attend to the general public with the exception of a few talks and workshops. Here are some exciting highlights.
Abwab
Abwab will host a collection of design experiences drawn from five communities in the Middle East; Amman, Beirut, Dubai, Eastern Provinces of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait City. Two designers are invited from each place to collaborate and produce works situated in dedicated pavilions related to the theme. 13-17 November
Global Grad Show
A first look at 150 of the inventions shaping our tomorrow. The solutions and prototypes range from the physical to the virtual, high-tech and complex to small and conceptually simple. 13-17 November
Downtown Design
175 contemporary design brands, including 40 regional designers, the fair presents the largest ever curation of Middle Eastern talent alongside the best of international design. Visitors will also be able to commission limited-edition and bespoke design from the Middle East and beyond at the fair’s new section, Downtown Editions. 13-16 November
Making Space
A pop-up studio which offers a five-day programme of workshops and children's activities. The programme ranges from modelling, sculpting and 3D printing, to weaving and sketching. 13-17 November
Virtual Reality Pavilion
The experience (pictured above) within the specially designed structure allows users to learn about climate change, and take virtual tours of buildings, with the aim of transporting visitors into a different realm; the space between now and the potential future.12-17 November

MC Hype is set to perform alongside Soul & R&B from Eve Thomas, Blues and R&B by Tariq Mohammad and live poetry with Suhaib Alises.
